Job description

Do you have skills in both assembly and material handling? Are you interested in a dynamic role that involves moving between different departments as needed? If so, we have the opportunity to for you!
APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with a logistics company Canton, MI looking to add a multiskilled candidate to their already amazing team. You will be responsible for floating between various departments as needed including assembly, warehouse and forklift operation. Sounds pretty great, right?

    • 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday with some Saturdays
  • Starting hourly wage - $17.50/hr.
  • Contract to hire position - you'll have the change to be hired by our client based on performance, attendance and business need

What your day will look like:
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and components accurately.
  • Ensure proper labeling and identification of materials and components.
  • Transfer materials correctly into CCore’s inventory management system.
  • Promptly deliver materials and components to the assembly line, ensuring efficiency.
  • Maintain a steady supply of materials and components to the assembly line.
  • Repack finished goods into cartons after assembly is complete.
  • Keep the workspace clean and organized, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Work closely with assembly technicians to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing processes and minimizing waste.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Assist the Quality Manager with any quality or QLR-related tasks or projects.
  • Provide support with inspections and rework tasks when necessary.
What we are looking for:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting; forklift experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CCore or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Basic math skills
