If you are a manufacturing and operations professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland/Alliance Compressors has an exciting opportunity for you based in Natchitoches, Louisiana! You will lead assembly line operations, responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of assembly line workers to ensure efficient and high-quality production within the factory. This role involves managing the daily operations of the assembly lines, optimizing productivity, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a safe and collaborative work environment. The Production Supervisor will lead a team of 20-30 assembly line workers, provide guidance and support, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

AS A PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR, YOU WILL:

  • Supervise and manage the activities of assembly line workers to ensure smooth production operations, adherence to schedules, and achievement of production targets

  • Monitor and maintain production line efficiency, identifying and addressing bottlenecks, disruptions, and inefficiencies to ensure optimal productivity

  • Train, mentor, and develop assembly team members, providing guidance on best practices, work procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards

  • Enforce safety protocols, ensuring that all workers follow established safety guidelines and promoting a culture of safety awareness

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, and quality to address production challenges and optimize processes using Lean Daily Management

  • Lead daily shift meetings to communicate safety, production targets, quality expectations, and any relevant updates to the assembly line team

  • Continuously promote a positive work environment by fostering teamwork, open communication, and employee engagement.

  • Maintain accurate production records, including production output, and downtime reasons for accurate End of Shift Reporting

SCHEDULE:
Onsite Work Arrangement:
This role is based fully on-site and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities. This is a 2nd shift position with working hours of 4:20 PM- 3:00 AM. Overtime requirements are based on customer needs to meet business objectives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Two (2) year Associate's Degree plus two (2 ) years of experience in manufacturing with similar responsibilities or over five (5+) years' experience in manufacturing with similar responsibilities

  • Great computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)

  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production demands

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Four (4) year Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • Two to five (2-5) years of experience in manufacturing with similar responsibilities

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team

  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing production challenges

  • Excellent communication skills; both oral and written

  • Experience with KRONOS (timekeeping)
