As our General Labourer you will be responsible for…

  • General Labour duties
  • Understanding of automated systems, HMI, PLC's
  • Knowledge of conveyors, metal sorting equipment, air compressors, air dryers, etc.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills

This role is based out of Edmonton, Alberta


You will join a supportive and collaborative team that values communication, accuracy, and a willingness to help one another succeed. The team works closely together to manage priorities, solve challenges proactively, and maintain a positive environment focused on shared success and operational efficiency.


Reporting to the ASR/Shredder Plant Manager.

This is a full time Sunday - Thursday  9 Pm to 6 AM shift.  Overtime and Saturdays as needed.  


  • Check / Track / repair conveyor belts
  • Check motor / Hydraulic temperature’s and record
  • Replace defective parts on machinery/equipment or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts
  • Attach moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly using hand tools/power tools
  • Move machinery and equipment using hoists, overhead crane, dollies, rollers etc.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repair and lubricate machines and equipment
  • Provide technical support, adjust settings, confirm proper operation and make recommendations for continuous improvements
  • Check for and unplug jams
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to work inside and outside year-round in all weather conditions
  • Minimum 2 years working in a industrial setting.
  • Ability to work the afternoon shift, from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am, when necessary
