Description

Mini-Circuits designs, manufactures and distributes integrated circuits, modules, and sub-systems for high-performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications.  With design, sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries, Mini-Circuits' products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection, measurement and imaging applications, including military communication, guidance and electronic countermeasure systems, commercial, scientific, military land, sea and aircraft; automotive systems, medical systems, and industrial test equipment.
Mini-Circuits' sells its products to over 20,000 customers globally through our direct sales force, applications engineering staff, sales representatives, as well as through our extensive website.

Position Summary:

To Assemble Mechanical Switches under direct supervision by the team leader.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Job Function:

  • Responsible for maintenance and care of tools and equipment used.
  • To perform soldering of small components.
  • To mount reeds and terminals.
  • Installation of connectors into switch bodies.
  • To perform cycles testing.
  • To perform critical measurements for the mechanical part of the switch (i.e. the connector pin height body slot).
  • Mount magnet into holders.
  • Prepare can cover of switches.
  • Work on final assembly, assembly body, plate and cover of the mechanical switch.
  • Responsible to keep work area neat and clean.
  • Perform bar code clock on, clock off job worked on.
  • To stop the process if a problem is observed and inform the lead person/technician.
  • Visually inspect and check all work.
  • To work in accordance with all company procedures.
  • Any other job related activity as assigned by the lead person.
  • Control floor stock items (i.e. lint free paper, finger cots, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-year Mechanical Switch assembly experience.
  • Use of a microscope.
  • To use a soldering iron.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as tweezer, plier, screwdriver, etc.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
  • Working in house assembly or external production departments for 1 year.
  • Experience in using mechanical measuring tools, i.e. caliper and surface gauge.
  • General soldering training.
  • CP's related to the assembly of switches.
  • Mechanical switch assembly instructions.
  • In accordance with D3-HT00-82, training procedure for mechanical switch assembly department.
  • Read, write and verbally communicate in English.
  • Work well in a fast phase environment.
  • Work well in a team.
