Job description

Industrial Machine Builder

Position Summary

The Industrial Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical components and subassemblies used in industrial equipment and machinery. This role requires the ability to read technical drawings, use hand and power tools, and ensure that all assemblies meet quality and safety standards.

Location: Fairfield, NJ 07004

Pay: $20 - $30

Shift: Monday to Friday , 6:30am – 3pm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete systems according to blueprints to build industrial packaging machines
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure proper assembly
  • Drilling, tapping, and mounting of equipment and enclosures
  • Align, fit, and secure parts using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
  • Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances
  • Inspect finished assemblies to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, making adjustments or repairs as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, including production and quality records
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clifton, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
