Job description

Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering amp; Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries. We have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician in Assembly that assemble components by hand, add finishing touches to components, and perform quality checks on parts.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Preform all product testing to ensure quality of each piece
  • Test finished products for defects
  • Maintain the tools used to create products
  • Assembles products and parts
  • Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed component
  • Monitors the production line and removes faulty products
  • Performing assigned product manufacturing and assembly tasks
  • Conducting quality checks on the functionality of parts and components
  • Adding finishing touches to the appearance of components
  • Performing minor repairs and reporting breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Keeping equipment maintenance logs
  • Collaborating with other departments to complete production orders on time
  • Complying with internal policies and industry regulations
  • Ensure work area is clean and safe

Requirements:
  • Ability to proactively troubleshoot problems

Required Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted. Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products. Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand.
Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
