Job description

Overview
Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that would be responsible for assembling automotive lifts and lift components as assigned by the Production Supervisor. Starts out at $17.86/hr and attendance incentive. Hours are 5:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble automotive lifts and components/accessories
  • Assist in implementation of 6S initiatives and activities with emphasis on safety
  • Suggest and assist in process improvements which assures quality, efficiency, and safety is built into the process
  • Assist in fabrication processes as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • An understanding and ability to use assembly tools
  • Capable of reading a tape measure
  • Understanding of blueprint reading
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of process interaction
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Understanding of general manufacturing
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hours
  • Must be able to periodically lift up to 45 pounds
  • Must align with the Snap-on mission statement
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
  • Must adhere to safety guidelines
