Job description

Summary/Objective
The warehouse associate plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received from suppliers, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation so parts can be located and distributed to proper storage areas in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

Essential Functions - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:
1.  Shipping and receiving of parts, according to ISO standards.
2.  Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
3.  Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
4.  Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins.

5.  Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.

6.  Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.

          6a. Work the onsite Sales Counter - See what is needed and then similarly to above, assembly customer order, and accept payment.
7.  Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method, per customer request.
8.  Assist in counting of physical inventory.
9.  Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
10.  May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
11.  Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
12.  Wear the proper safety equipment.

13.  Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

14.  Product school training may be required

Work Environment:
This position works in a non-air conditioned warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.


Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to work in a warehouse and distribution center environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and lighting
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the warehouse to monitor operations, supervise staff, and inspect inventory
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while performing administrative tasks such as reporting, scheduling, and planning
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach as needed to observe processes, review inventory, and address operational issues
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment, typically up to 25–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to safely navigate warehouse aisles and operational areas where forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment are in use
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders as required to access storage areas or equipment
  • Manual dexterity to use computers, handheld devices, radios, and standard office equipment
  • Visual and auditory ability to monitor warehouse activities, read labels and documentation, and communicate effectively with team members
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety shoes, high-visibility vests, and hearing protection


  • Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time hourly position.
  • Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am -5:00 pm.
  • Work is onsite only.  Position is not able to be completed remotely.
