Mechanical Assembly Technician I

Location: Franklin, MA
Shifts Available: 1st (6am – 2:30pm or 7am – 3:30pm) and 2nd (2:30pm – 11pm)
Pay Rate: $21.00 ~ $22.00

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Assembly Technician I to join our manufacturing team in Franklin, MA. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, mechanical assembly, and working in a team-oriented production environment.

The Assembly Technician I is responsible for assembling extrusion frames and related products while following detailed work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures. Successful candidates will possess strong attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn and grow within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical assembly of extrusion frames and related products.

  • Complete basic electro-mechanical assembly tasks using proper grounding and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures.

  • Follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures to perform repetitive production tasks.

  • Produce high-quality work while meeting established production goals and time standards.

  • Conduct in-process inspections using visual checks, measurement tools, and quality checklists.

  • Participate in cross-training initiatives to support production efficiency and team flexibility.

  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, including:

    • Screwdrivers

    • Hex keys

    • Drills

    • Saws

    • Tape measures

    • Assembly fixtures

  • Work collaboratively with team members to integrate large subassemblies into completed finished products.

  • Move materials throughout the facility using hand pallet jacks and approved material-handling equipment.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow all company quality and safety procedures.
