Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembler to join our production team. In this role, you will assemble pumps, chambers, filtration systems, and related sub-assemblies while following engineering specifications, blueprints, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Essential Functions

Work Order & Assembly Preparation

· Review work orders, bills of materials, blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions to understand assembly requirements.

· Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to ensure assemblies are completed according to specifications.

· Pick and prepare materials, components, hardware, and subassemblies required for production.

· Verify part numbers, quantities, and components against work orders and bills of materials before beginning assembly.

· Use computer systems to review work orders, access drawings, retrieve specifications, and update required production records.


Material & Component Preparation

· Measure and cut raw materials using a band saw or other shop saws according to specifications.

· Lay out, cut, bend, trim, fit, glue, and paint parts as required by drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

· Use hand and power tools to clean, deburr, modify, and prepare components for assembly.

· Safely move and position materials, components, and subassemblies using appropriate material-handling equipment.


Assembly

· Assemble pumps, chambers, filtration systems, and related subassemblies according to blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.

· Align and fit components to ensure proper positioning and assembly.

· Fasten components using hand and power tools, including bolts, screws, rivets, and other approved fastening methods.

· Load, operate, and unload production equipment, including arbor presses, drill presses, tapping machines, spot welders, riveting machines, and other manufacturing equipment.

· Rotate between workstations and assembly operations as production needs require.

· Assist skilled operators and support bench assembly operations as needed.


Installation & Testing

· Install and connect motors, pumps, filtration systems, and other moving or mechanical components according to specifications.

· Test completed assemblies and components to verify proper operation, fit, function, and product quality.

· Identify and report equipment, components, or assembly issues that may affect product quality or performance.


Quality & Rework

· Inspect completed work to ensure assemblies meet drawings, specifications, work instructions, and established quality standards.

· Identify defective or nonconforming components and assemblies and report issues to the appropriate personnel.

· Perform repair, adjustment, or rework activities as authorized to bring products into conformance with specifications.

· Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.


Material Handling & Production Support

· Operate hand carts, pallet jacks, pallet lifters, cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment as authorized and trained.

· Lift and move materials, components, subassemblies, and finished goods weighing up to 25 lbs.

· Use cranes or other approved lifting devices to safely move heavier materials, components, subassemblies, and finished goods.

· Assist with material movement, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities as needed to support production.


Safety & General Responsibilities

· Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, work instructions, and established manufacturing procedures.

· Perform required inspections of tools, equipment, and lifting devices before use and report any safety or equipment concerns.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

· Properly care for and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.

· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Education & Experience

· High school diploma or GED required.

· 1 to 3 years previous assembly experience in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment required.

· Previous assembly experience of mechanical plastic and steel components preferred.

· Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and standard operating procedures.

· Experience using lifting equipment, hand tools, power tools, and basic manufacturing equipment.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

· Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

· Manual dexterity to safely operate hand or power tools and production equipment.

· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, chemicals such as paint, glue, oil, or cleaning agents, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
