USPRO Talent Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented
Electromechanical Assembler to support the production of advanced electronic and electromechanical assemblies in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assembling high-quality electronic components and subassemblies while following engineering documentation, work instructions, and established manufacturing processes.
The ideal candidate will have experience with hand soldering, mechanical assembly, and working with precision manufacturing equipment while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electromechanical components and subassemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications.
- Utilize fixtures and assembly tools to accurately build electronic assemblies while maintaining quality and production standards.
- Inspect incoming materials and components for defects or nonconformance prior to assembly.
- Perform hand soldering, tack bonding, and epoxy application on electrical and electronic components.
- Operate solder reflow ovens, semi-automated pick-and-place (P&P) equipment, and automated measurement systems as required.
- Read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Record production data and maintain accurate documentation using MRP and data collection systems.
- Communicate effectively with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing objectives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company quality and safety procedures.
- Demonstrate flexibility by learning new processes, technologies, and manufacturing techniques as business needs evolve.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or completion of a Trade School program (minimum two years of secondary or technical education).
- Previous experience performing hand soldering in a manufacturing or electronics assembly environment.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and/or tack bonding (epoxy application).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
- Willingness and ability to obtain company solder certification.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Selective Solder or Wave Solder equipment.
- Experience working in electronics, aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and electronic manufacturing processes.
- IPC certification or the ability to become IPC certified.
