Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, code, and test applications using IBM Assembler.
  • Work across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Debug and troubleshoot mainframe applications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for assembler programs.
  • Provide technical support for mainframe systems and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Optimize application performance and maintain system reliability.
  • Collaborate with system architects, analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient low-level machine code.
  • Stay updated with the latest mainframe technologies and assembler programming practices.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Mainframe Assembler programming.
  • Strong expertise with IBM z/OS operating system.
  • Experience with the complete SDLC.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of mainframe architecture and system programming.
  • Experience with JCL; knowledge of COBOL, CICS, and DB2 is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
