Job description

What you will be doing as an Assembler:
- Assembles reloaders with the aid of verbal instructions, print(s) or sample parts
- Uses various types of riveting devices, hand tools, air guns and power devices to assemble parts.
- Checks parts for quality and accuracy using basic inspection devices such as micrometers, verniers, scales, squares and gages.
- Assembles prototypes with Engineering help.
- Inspects reloaders prior to boxing & shipping.
- Must be qualified to assemble at every station and process on various lines.
- Must be able a team player maintaining positive attitudes while improving quality and efficiencies.
- Must know line bills of materials and be able to maintain accurate inventories.
- Must have a healthy Continuous Improvement attitude - improve efficiency/productivity on lines where applicable.
- Must be highly motivated as well as a self-directed individual.
- Must be willing to accept and promote change to processes and procedures to improve safety, quality and efficiencies throughout all areas.
What it takes to be an Assembler for MEC Outdoors:
- One to Three months related experience is preferred
- Must be able to read blueprints, work orders and follow instructions.
- Good Finger and Hand Dexterity
- Ability to train and work well with others (Team Concept)
- Love of the Outdoors and a passion for Reloading
- Reliability
