Location : Chillicothe OH 45601
Project Duration : 13 weeks
Pay range : $53-57/hr, based on experience W2 with limited benefits
Shift : Days, M-F, 7a-330p
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room (OR) Nurse to provide skilled nursing care and support throughout surgical procedures. The OR Nurse will function primarily as a circulator, ensuring the operating room is properly prepared, maintaining patient safety, coordinating with the surgical team, and supporting efficient workflow before, during, and after procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures.
  • Prepare operating rooms, supplies, equipment, and instruments for scheduled cases.
  • Verify patient information, surgical procedure, consent, and required documentation.
  • Maintain a safe, sterile, and organized operating room environment.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Monitor and advocate for patient safety throughout the perioperative process.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure necessary supplies and equipment are available.
  • Assist with urgent and emergent surgical cases as needed.
  • Prepare and organize supplies and equipment for upcoming surgical cases.
  • Check supplies and equipment for expiration dates and ensure appropriate stock levels.
  • Complete accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Follow facility policies, infection prevention standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Previous Operating Room/OR Circulator experience required.
  • EPIC experience.
  • Current, active professional nursing license applicable to the position.
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and patient safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
