Job Description: Asphalt Foreman

The Asphalt Foreman is a supervisory position responsible for overseeing and coordinating asphalt paving projects from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and technical expertise in asphalt paving. The Asphalt Foreman works closely with paving crews, equipment operators, and other construction team members to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers to plan and organize asphalt paving projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and supervise the asphalt paving crew, providing direction, training, and support to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure asphalt surfaces meet specifications for thickness, compaction, and smoothness.
  • Equipment Coordination: Oversee the operation and maintenance of asphalt paving equipment, coordinating with operators to maximize performance and uptime.
  • Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols and regulations, conduct safety meetings, and address safety concerns promptly.
  • Material Management: Coordinate delivery and handling of asphalt materials to ensure adequate and timely supply.
