Job description

Asphalt Paving Foreman
Barber Brothers Contracting Co., LLC is searching for qualified individuals that are interested in joining our team as an Asphalt Paving Foreman in Baton Rouge, LA. Our Foreman work directly with job Superintendents and Project Management to deliver the results that meets and exceeds our customerโ€™s expectations.
The ideal candidate should have advanced experienced with Asphalt Paving working as a lead man or a foreman in the Heavy Highway / Civil Construction industry. The qualified candidate will have verifiable leadership qualities and the ability to comprehend and communicate complex paving related plans.
The position is responsible for consistently incorporating and reinforcing the companyโ€™s safety initiatives into constructions projects.
Other duties include:
  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate paving operations.
  • Ensure the crew meets daily production goals.
  • Ensure necessary equipment, materials, and trucks are scheduled.
  • Proactively Identifies needs, opportunities, and problems.
  • Responsible for training qualified crew members.
  • Responsible and accountable for the safety of the crew under his/her direction.
  • Ensure the safety of crew members and the public who may interact with job.
  • Maintain flexibility necessary to accommodate project changes.
  • Daily submission of electronic time cards and shift production reports as required by management
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Five+ yearsโ€™ supervisory experience with Asphalt paving required.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Must be able to be work non-routine hours.
  • Must possess a current driverโ€™s license in good standing.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment MVR, background, and drug screen.
Compensation is DOE.
