Job description

Metric is looking to hire a MAT Asphalt Plant Inspector to join our North Florida Team! This position will be located in Chipley, FL. Responsibilities include ensuring the quality and compliance of asphalt concrete during the placement and inspection process.
Day to Day:
  • Inspect asphalt aggregates from the ground in their designated material bins.
  • Monitor asphalt production and loadout, including:
    • Observing aggregate conveyor feeding and weighing
    • Monitoring aggregate heating and kiln operation
    • Checking liquid asphalt feed rates and quantities
    • Observing silo temperatures
    • Monitoring mix flow from silo to trucks
    • Checking mix temperatures in truck beds
    • Verifying truck scale accuracy and mix weights
    • Reviewing and confirming production tickets
Qualifications:
  • CTQP Asphalt Plant Level I
  • CTQP Asphalt Plant Level II
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Four years of industry experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and written)
