Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting students through expert communication and inclusivity as a Sign Language Interpreter in a dynamic school environment near Duluth, GA. Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and valid GA DOE Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) License (must be available and ready to present)
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and strong communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset and flexibility to support multiple classrooms and student needs
  • Prior educational or school-based interpreting experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 sign language interpreting for students onsite, ensuring meaningful access to instruction and school activities
  • Assist both part-time at Alliance Academy and float between locations as assigned
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers while supporting classroom learning and participation
  • Maintain ethical standards of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
