Job description

Responsible/Compassionate private duty RN/LPN for young adult daughter.

My daughter has Post viral covid syndrome symptoms: light sensitivity, eye pressure, ear ringing, Insomnia and headache and back and legache

We are looking for a compassionate RN/LPN WITH neurology experience , preferably on a post covid inpatient floor for at least 2 years.  Amenable to outpatient experience. The right candidate must have an in-depth understanding of the following neurological conditions: Autonomic Dysfunction, Post Viral Syndrome, Neuroinflammation, Migraine syndrome, photosensitivity, POST concussion syndrome. The candidate will also be able to respond to acute neurological symptoms . We are also looking for someone with excellent bedside manner.

Scope of works but not limited to below:

1. Constant monitoring of patient while you're on the shift. Must be able to attend every need and address/respond to acute neurological symptoms

2. Assist with Activities of Daily Living: House Chores-hygiene, bedding, cleaning dishes, mopping floor and assist bathing and washing hair. This also includes meal prepping and cooking based on customized dietary guidelines i.e. anti-inflammatory foods, anti histamine foods

3. Administer medications promptly and perform lymphatic drainage massage including leg massages

4 Care coordination: coordinate medical appointments, manage medications, ensure OT and PT sessions, attend Zoom meeting with her physicians

5 Run errand for groceries including organic healthy foods and pick up medication from Pharmacy

6 Drive and accompany her to

a)Parks for walking and exposure to sun, promoting exercise regimen.

b)Doctors appointments

7) Clear, precise and concise recording of every activity and event that's taken place, including taking vital signs every 2 hours or PRN. An example of this: make daily log of all medication, exercises, heart rate, BP, specific eyes exercises and etc

8)Set up and ensure daily routines being carried out accordingly, subject to change depending on for her symptoms

9) Utilizing medical knowledge and function as clinical navigator I.e. Reading and explain doctors report to my daughter , email and call doctors for advise anytime required by my daughter

10) Maintaining low stimulation environment with light , noise and sound


Preference:
-Chinese and English speaking strongly preferred
-Driving license
-Knowledge about Asian cooking
- minimum 2 years neurology experience or post/long covid(inpatient or outpatient)
- 5 years of experience as an nurse 
-  Hours: 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday : 48 hours/week
