Spanning about 15,000 square feet across Level 1 and Level 2, Asia Live combines exceptional dining, vibrant energy, and cultural storytelling in one of Silicon Valley’s most prominent retail and lifestyle destinations. POSITION

A Busser / Runner supports servers and kitchen staff by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and ensuring a smooth flow of service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Clear dirty dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables quickly and efficiently.
  • Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and booths between guests.
  • Reset tables with clean silverware, napkins, and condiments.
  • Refill water glasses and assist servers with drink service when needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, floors, and service stations.
  • Assist in stocking supplies.
  • Help run food from kitchen to tables.
  • Support servers and hosts to ensure quick table turnover.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Understanding of cleanliness and food safety practices.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift trays or bus tubs.
  • Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays often required)
  • Food Handlers card.
  • Previous restaurant or customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with basic restaurant operations.

SKILLS/APTITUDES:

  • Strong guest service orientation.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbally interacts with management, team members and guests).
  • Identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to take directions and be a team player.
  • Multi-task oriented and self-motivated.
  • Must visually scan restaurant for clean, unoccupied tables.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to speak and hear, vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Constant standing, sitting, and walking.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop.
  • Be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Regularly required to use hands and frequent washing of hands.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The noise level in the work environment usually is moderate to loud.
  • High-energy, sometimes physically demanding.
  • Frequent interaction with staff and guest contact.
  • Exposure to extreme heat.
  • The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with difficult guests.
  • Work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
