Experienced Technician Opportunity
One of the oldest and most respected dealerships in the central Alabama area is now hiring Automotive Technicians who are ASE Certified Technicians or currently working on ASE Certification. Job Responsibilities
As an Auto Technician you will perform automotive repairs as described on repair orders with efficiency, accuracy and in accordance with factory and service center standards. You will diagnose vehicle malfunctions, recommending and performing appropriate diagnostic repairs.
Other Responsibilities of the Auto Technician Role Include
  • Examining vehicles to diagnose necessary repairs
  • Communicating maintenance needs to Service Advisor
  • Notifying Service Advisor if work cannot be completed as promised
  • Documenting all work performed clearly and accurately
  • Attending and successfully completing factory training as required
  • Keeping informed of factory technical bulletins
  • Understanding and following federal, state and local regulations
  • Meeting all requirements of state and federal law for automobile repair

As a GM Certified Technician you must have previous automotive knowledge and experience. You must have the ability to comprehend instructions and have the drive to learn new automotive knowledge. You must be an energetic problem solver with a strong technical aptitude who is customer service focused and communicates effectively. Ideal candidates are goal-oriented team players who are dedicated to providing quality service and have a drive to succeed.
Other Requirements Include
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Technical automotive skills
  • Must have your own tools
  • Basic mechanical skills and manual dexterity
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team oriented and flexible with a positive attitude
  • Working knowledge of shop equipment

This is a fast paced service department with a large clientele base, so a person who is able to stay mentally engaged is key to delivering a good customer service experience!
