This is a split position supporting both the Materials Department and the Geotechnical Department, combining dispatching/scheduling responsibilities with project administration and coordination.

  • High school diploma and a minimum of 2 years' related experience.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Materials Department - Scheduler/Dispatcher Responsibilities

You will assist the primary dispatcher with scheduling and dispatching services for 25+ field technicians, ensuring projects are staffed efficiently based on technician skill sets, certifications, urgency, and project requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Answer and manage incoming calls, dispatching technicians to precise locations based on qualifications and project needs
  • Prioritize projects and manage logistics (equipment, staffing, internal coordination), using sound judgment and negotiation skills to resolve conflicts
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with technicians, managers, laboratory staff, clients, and contractors
  • Coordinate daily schedules with the project management team to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Dispatch in an incident and injuryfree manner in accordance with Terracon guidelines, prioritizing employee wellbeing
  • Use internal scheduling tools and software to balance workloads and optimize resource allocation
  • Support office operations and assist with administrative tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with other Front Range offices to support scheduling needs
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promptly report any concerns
  • Maintain quality standards across all assigned projects
  • Resolve resource conflicts through effective communication and negotiation

Geotechnical Department - Project Assistant Responsibilities

As a Project Assistant, you will support project teams by handling essential administrative and coordination tasks that enhance project delivery from proposal through closeout.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with project and proposal setup, ensuring accurate and timely data entry in internal project management, tracking, and reporting systems
  • Collaborate with project managers, technical staff, and finance specialists to track deliverables and project milestones
  • Manage and maintain key project documentation, including contracts, reports and distribution lists, and change requests
  • Support quality and compliance efforts by maintaining data accuracy and appropriate access to sensitive information
  • Contribute to client service by facilitating communication and followup activities, enabling project managers to focus on technical execution and client relationships

General

  • Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
