Our diverse team of creative problem solvers is dedicated to completing each project safely, reliably, and with the compliance protocols our customers have come to value.
We have an opening for a CDL Class B Vac Truck Operator .
Location: Rochester, NY
Primary Function and Scope:
The Vac Truck Operator will drive a vac truck to various job sites to clear out water and contaminants from the job site.
Specific duties of the Vac Truck Operator will include but not be limited to:
  • Drive vac truck to job sites in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Prepare work areas by setting up safety measures addressing potential hazards.
  • Operate vac truck equipment and perform duties in a variety of working environments, including confined spaces.
  • Operate our equipment with constant attention to safety in adherence to company and customer policies.
  • Perform routine inspections and minor repairs of vac truck equipment.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with internal employees and customers regarding work that needs to be performed.
  • Maintain detailed records of vac truck work performed.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent plus at least 5 years of work experience; construction industry experience preferred
  • CDL B driver's license with at least two years of driving experience; comfortable driving a manual transmission
  • IMPECCABLE driving record
  • Tanker endorsement
  • OSHA10 safety certification is required (If applicant does not hold this certification, P&CG will pay for computer-based training)
  • Safety certifications preferred (e.g., First Aid/CPR, Fall Protection, Confined Space)
  • Strong customer service orientation; able to communicate with site crews and address challenges
  • Experience in a labor-intensive position and working outside in all types of weather conditions
  • Capable of working variable shifts with extended hours; be on-call certain evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work independently in a team and safety focused environment

Compensation:
  • $28.00-$33.00 per hour based on experience

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
  • Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
