Job description

Currently seeking an experienced and licensed asbestos inspector for our Chicago office. This individual will participate in a wide variety of projects for multi-family residential, commercial and industrial properties. This position offers tremendous opportunities for technical and professional growth. Job responsibilities and qualifications include the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct asbestos building inspections and surveys in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Collect bulk asbestos samples following proper chain-of-custody procedures

  • Prepare asbestos inspection reports and client deliverables

  • Perform field inspections of commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential properties

  • Manage projects from proposal through final report

  • Project reporting and client correspondence

  • Develop written work plans, cost estimates and proposals

  • Client management and day-to-day correspondence from initial proposal through reporting and follow up

  • Coordinate with laboratories and contractors as needed.

  • Project invoicing and budget tracking

Qualifications:

  • Illinois Asbestos Inspector License required

  • Indiana and Wisconsin Licenses are a plus

  • Experience performing asbestos inspections and hazardous building material surveys

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact on a high-level professional basis

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with desire to provide excellent service and attention to clients

  • Valid Driver's License
