Job description

Drive Quality. Deliver Reliability. Discover your career at Asahi/America.

What’s The Job?

At Asahi/America, quality drives everything we do. As a recognized leader in thermoplastic piping systems, valves, and fabricated components since 1971, we’ve built our reputation on performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.

Asahi/America is seeking a hands-on Fabrication Technician to support the production of high-quality plastic piping systems, custom components, and fabricated assemblies. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with tools and measurements. You’ll help fabricate, assemble, and finish plastic products used in industrial applications while learning the skills needed to grow into an independent fabricator. Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You Will Own.

In this role, you will help cut, assemble, and fabricate plastic components, piping systems, and related assemblies using hand and power tools. You will be responsible for following work orders, drawings, and measurements carefully to ensure parts are built accurately and meet quality expectations. You’ll use tools such as saws, drills, and routers to shape and fit materials, and you may also perform plumbing-style work involving the fitting and joining of piping systems. You will play an important role in checking your work with measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers, maintaining a safe and organized workspace, and supporting production goals. Over time, you’ll be expected to build the confidence and skill to work more independently while continuing to deliver reliable, precise results.

What Separates You From The Rest.

You bring strong mechanical aptitude and a natural comfort with tools, measurements, and hands-on work. You understand the importance of accuracy and can confidently read a tape measure, follow dimensions, and complete work with attention to detail. Experience in fabrication, plumbing, construction, mechanical assembly, or a similar trade is highly valued, especially if you’re comfortable reading basic drawings or eager to learn. You are dependable, motivated, and take pride in producing quality work. Just as important, you’re someone who can grow from working alongside a team to becoming a self-sufficient contributor. The ability to lift 30–40 lbs. and remain on your feet for extended periods is also important in this role.

Why You'll Love Working Here.

Industry-leading thermoplastic brand with decades of market credibility. Direct visibility and influence across sales, engineering, and manufacturing. Day-one benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability. 401(k) with generous company match — fully vested at hire. Continuing education reimbursement.

Quality products. Trusted partnerships. Proven success — that’s Asahi/America.

Compensation Transparency.

Salary Range: $21.00 – $30.00 per hour Plus Bonus.

The pay range shown represents what we expect to offer in good faith for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will depend on several factors—such as education, experience, certifications, skills, performance, shift, location, and business needs. We review our ranges regularly to ensure fairness and market competitiveness.

Equal Employment Opportunity.

Asahi/America, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic information, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other status protected under federal, state, or local law.
