Job description


Pyramid, Inc. is hiring a Visual Arts Coordinator to oversee and elevate our arts programming for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position combines supervision, creative direction, and hands‑on artistic engagement, offering the chance to make a lasting impact through meaningful, student‑centered outcomes.

Qualification Requirements

  • Related four-year degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of art-related work experience.
  • One year of supervisory experience.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license.

  • Successful drug test.
  • Ability to instruct in at least three art-related skills.

Responsibilities

  • Teach art classes, focusing primarily on marketable fine arts.
  • Caseload management.
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, health, comfort, development and self-esteem of Pyramid students.
  • Identify needs and desires for each individual and pursue programs that provide them with choice, independence, life-skills, vocational opportunity, and natural supports, and the opportunity for them to lead meaningful lives
  • Lead the development of the visual arts program and use the arts to create holistic enrichment in the lives of Pyramid students.
  • Support fundraising ventures and create community partnerships & support with the support of the director.
  • Create opportunities for artists and performers to display their work in the community.
  • Be available for off-hours work-related activities.

Starting salary for this position is $50,000. Full benefits include 401k, group health insurance, paid time off. Typical work week is day shift, Monday through Friday, occasional weekend/evening events.
