Imagine Art AmeriCorps Program
Volunteer Duties: Artist-in-Residence: The AmeriCorps Volunteers in our Art Program are identified as Artist-in-Residence and will provide direct educational and support services and mentorship to artists with disabilities in a variety of artistic disciplines including painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, textiles and mixed media. Peer Support Specialists: Volunteers in the Peer Support area will facilitate the training and certification program for peer support and help peers to coordinate after hours and social events for the Live+Make community. Capacity Building Specialists: Capacity Building Specialists will provide capacity building innovations and direct services to clients and artists with disabilities; including instruction and mentorship to support clients and artists with disabilities' development toward professional engagement in the fields of long-term care, peer support and the culinary arts. Culinary Arts Specialists: Volunteers in the Culinary Arts area will provide instruction and mentorship in customer service, food service operations, menu development, cooking skills, food safety and gardening.
Member Duties : Art Program Volunteers serve as teaching Artist-in-Residence and provide direct educational and support services and mentorship to adult artists with disabilities. Peer Support Volunteers facilitate the training and certification program for peer support and help peers to coordinate after hours and social events for the Live+Make community. Capacity Building Volunteers will provide capacity building innovations and direct services to clients and artists with disabilities; including instruction and mentorship to support clients and artists with disabilities' development toward professional engagement. Culinary Arts Volunteers will provide instruction and mentorship in customer service, food service operations, menu development, cooking skills, food safety and gardening.
