Job Title: Dairy Processing Operator - All ShiftsJob Description

As a Dairy Processing Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining sleeving and bottling machines. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and clean sleeving and bottling machines according to procedures.
  • Ensure proper placement of sleeves on bottles and prevent bottle backup.
  • Verify date codes are correct for each production run.
  • Communicate machine status and any bottle quality issues to supervisor or Plant Manager.
  • Relieve other Machine Operators during machine downtime or job re-assignment to maintain departmental efficiency.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on machines promptly.
  • Report to workstation on time and wear proper work attire.
  • Assist in setting up work area and perform duties in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Sanitization Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).
  • Ensure operations meet quality and safety standards as per HACCP, FDA, EPA, OSHA, USDA, WDA, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct behavior in compliance with company policy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of machine operating experience in GMP environments.
  • Proficiency in machine operation and general production.
  • Experience with packaging and filling machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) experience preferred.

Work Environment

The role offers multiple shift options: 1st Shift (4am - 12pm, Mon - Fri), Mid Shift (11am - 7pm, Sun - Fri with a rotating day off), 2nd Shift (1pm - 9pm, Sun - Fri with a rotating day off or 2pm - 12am, Mon - Thurs), 3rd Shift (5pm - 1am, Sun - Thurs), and Weekend Shift (5am - 5pm, Fri/Sat/Sun). Training occurs from 5am - 1pm, Wed - Sun for a few weeks. The environment adheres to GMP standards with required attire including hair net, beard net, smocks, and steel toes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
