Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex Manufacturing is actively searching for a SC Buyer Planner II. This position will be located at the Arthrex manufacturing facility in Pendleton, SC. This is an exciting opportunity to make your mark on a growing organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reviews MRP outputs weekly to ensure all required actions are taken - planned orders, expedites, de-expedites, cancels, etc.
  • Limits backorders of all assigned parts while communicating backorder information to internal departments.
  • Maintains and reviews Forecast vs. Actual sales for assigned products.
  • Attends weekly conference calls with key suppliers.
  • Distributes Engineering Change Requests to each supplier and reviews disposition of existing and in-process products. Attends meetings to discuss the necessary action required and the cost associated with these actions.
  • Discusses defective goods with inspection or quality control personnel, suppliers and others to determine the origin and take corrective action.
  • Coordinates non-critical new product launch activities as assigned by management.
  • Responsible for remote Purchasing/Planning at off-site locations.
  • Analyzes slow moving inventory and attends meetings with the individual teams to determine disposition.
  • Ensures item costing is fair and reasonable. Works with each supplier to reduce costs while still maintaining quality and deliveries.
  • Responsible for all PO receipts of non-inventoried goods, invoice approval, MRO and credit card purchases.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred
  • 2 years of relevant experience required. 4 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Purchasing/Manufacturing/Forecasting/Sourcing/International experience preferred
  • Medical Device experience preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • BI/BW or similar software experience preferred

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Knowledge of Supply Chain concepts required. Knowledge of FDA and ISO regulations preferred.
