Contemporary Art Teacher - Woodbury/Syosset NY

One River School of Art + Design 
$25–$28 per hour

10-15 hours/week

At One River School, we believe children are capable of real artistic thinking. We’re looking for practicing artists and passionate educators who want to introduce young creators (Grades 6-12) to contemporary art in ways that feel exciting, meaningful, and wildly engaging.

What You’ll Do

Lead dynamic, hands-on weekly art classes for students (Weekday Afternoons and Evenings, Saturdays and Sundays)
Explore contemporary approaches across painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, mixed media, and 3D work
Encourage experimentation, creative risk-taking, and big imaginative thinking
Create “WOW moments” that build confidence and artistic voice
Connect thoughtfully with families about student growth and creative breakthroughs
