Job description

Position Summary: Are you someone who loves getting creative and enjoys inspiring others? We are looking for a friendly, guest-oriented and organized Art Studio Manager to lead our creative space! This role requires strong imagination and leadership in logistics, inventory management, community engagement, and administrative responsibilities.

Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process. This is a salaried role.

Qualifications:

  • First Aid and CPR certifications are required.
  • Leadership and strong communication skills are required
  • A college degree is preferred but not required.
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed, highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Must enjoy working with people of all ages and especially children, with a strong guest service mindset.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and oversee Art Studio classes and activities.
  • Appropriately maintain the Art Studio facilities, equipment and supplies.
  • Responsible for regular social media marketing of Art Studio classes.
  • Responsible for all art studio publications including website and seasonal activity guides
  • Recruit, hire, train and manage art studio staff (2 full time plus seasonal staff)
  • Direct and answer questions or resolve guest concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Serve as a role model and develop a friendly rapport with guests.
  • Assist with the preparation & facilitation of corporate and holiday events, as needed.
  • Assume a leadership role in annual events i.e. Kiawah Island Golf Resort Marathon and Swim Across America.
  • Responsible for maintaining payroll and controllables within the Art Studio budgets.
  • Responsible for developing the annual budget, performing monthly forecasts, and reviewing profit and loss statements to ensure accurate financial oversight.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs short and medium distances.
