The App Store Editorial Design Team is in search of an extraordinary Games Content Art Director with experience in brand, content, and motion-driven media for digital products. The Art Director will collaborate closely with the App Store Editorial team, as well as cross-functional and external partners to shape and deliver consumer-facing content. This exciting opportunity supports day-to-day design delivery, art direction, and strategy for App Store Games coverage.

Description
In this role, you will deliver designs, contribute to art direction, and collaborate with App Store game editors and curators to publish content that strives to express and connect the world of Games to App Store users.
You will be involved in developing strategic design solutions in collaboration with strategists, creative directors, and key stakeholders. The Art Director will be responsible for delivering concepts, ideas, and designs as well as directing external vendors such as agencies, illustrators, and partners across multiple projects on multiple timelines.
Our Games Content Art Director will inspire a fountain of ideas and creative thinking, and is someone that can think and implement quickly, laterally, independently, and collaboratively. You'll bridge design strategy and execution with gamer needs, shape content experiences that resonate in their gaming lives-while always staying immersed in the culture and fast-paced world of Games.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of design systems and branding strategy, particularly for digital products and marketplaces.
Passionate about exceptional art direction, design, and creative that is thoughtful, meaningful, provocative at times, and significant.
Ability to prototype visual design work in a situation.
Ability to author, share, and direct ideas in a cogent and inspiring manner.
Working knowledge and experience in 3D and Animation.
Working knowledge of UI/UX Design Tools such as Figma and Sketch.
In-depth knowledge of all steps required in the creative process, including providing communication and direction, and giving timely and useful feedback to improve creative solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of creative industry experience in digital media.
2+ years of experience as an Art Director.
Experience and passion for gaming and mobile gaming; ability to stay ahead of design trends in that industry.
Portfolio showing strength in delivering strategic ideas across digital, social, or static form factors.
Demonstrated mastery of Adobe Creative Suite.
Have an incredible talent for developing elevated aesthetics, visually cohesive creative, and the ability to tell a powerful story through the work.
Must be flexible and have the ability to adjust to design scenarios.
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,700 and $247,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
