Duties * Support software development needs surrounding necessary capability enhancements for civil works/military needs * Write reusable, testable, and efficient Python code using frameworks such as Django * Design database schemas, integrate data storage solutions while ensuring data security and integrity * Utilize geospatial expertise to perform necessary calculations and transformations on vector/raster datasets * Support the development, optimization, and documentation of tools for assigned data programs and projects * Gather and store raw data sets using appropriate processes and systems to support critical operational problems and/or decisions Requirements Conditions of employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time. * Appointment to this position is subject to a two-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
