Loan Documentation Specialist

Norman Corporate - Norman, OK 73069

Description

Purpose:

While projecting a professional image; interact with customers to provide support, respond to inquiries and resolve issues. Assist in reviewing loans for correct documentation, regulatory, and policy requirements. Assist in ensuring collateral is adequately protected in terms of security perfection, insurance coverage, and loan documentation requirements where applicable.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure that customers are assisted promptly, primarily by telephone or electronically and by meeting or exceeding Bank principles as identified in the SMILE program.
  • Meet accuracy, timeliness, and correctness standards as required.
  • Review loans for correct documentation and tracking items as assigned (i.e. HMDA, insurance, security perfection, ancillary products sold, etc.)
  • Update the appropriate tracking system and record variations to loan files and loan policy, regulatory and/or security perfection tracking items.
  • Pull and review reports from various sources for monitoring policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Make accurate loan, general ledger, and account ticket entries where applicable.
  • Accurately scan documents into image system.
  • Loan application balancing.
  • Resolve payment issues.
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Typically requires 3-5 years of related work experience and the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the essential requirements of the job.
Physical Requirements:
  • Long periods of standing or sitting, typing and repetitive motion
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs on occasion
