Armed Security Guard

Topps Security is recruiting for Armed Security Guards to join our team! The Armed Security Guard will be responsible for protecting the client and assigned property from any criminal activity or trespassing.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication, excellent observational skills and 2 years of previous surveillance experience, preferably in military/law enforcement environment. This person should have the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations while exhibiting patience and a superb attention to detail.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Screen personnel, packages, and vehicles for prohibited or unlawful items using manual, automated, or integrated screening techniques
  • Prevent, discover, delay, and/or detain persons attempting to bring prohibited or unlawful items into the property and/or personnel at the facility being protected.
  • Report all such incidents in accordance with established procedures as detailed in the Post Orders
  • Answer questions and provide directions to visitors and facility tenants.
  • Patrol the grounds or buildings as assigned, regularly.
  • Respond to any alerts of suspicious activity.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Must 21 years of age or older
  • Active Federal, State, and Local Firearm permit(s)
  • Current or prior military and/or security experience
  • Have all state/local licenses, permits, registrations, or certifications as required to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
