Job description

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a C-arm/Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a C-arm/Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned equipment to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. Shifts are Monday-Friday rotating evening shifts: 2:30pm-10:30pm or 3pm-11pm - with the occasional day shift which could include 6am-2:30pm, 7am-3:30pm, 7:30am-4pm, or 8am-4:30pm, as needed. This role also includes every 4th weekend rotation, every 3rd holiday rotation, and intermittent on-call shifts. Rarely an 11pm-7am shift may be worked, depending on staffing needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) C-arm/Special Procedures and X-Ray Imaging
1. Screen patients before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two
patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explain and prepare patients for imaging procedures to be performed; clearly explain the procedure and
position patients so the correct parts of their body can be appropriately imaged
3. Perform routine and advanced X-Ray and c-arm imaging procedures on designated portions of the body
for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury, with minimal amount of
supervision, while providing continuous patient support
4. Produce diagnostic images in assigned/designated areas
5. Adjust x-ray and c-arm parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as
appropriate
6. Maintain a sterile environment during procedures requiring it
7. Follow physicians' orders precisely, conform to safety regulations and accurately maintain records within
the Radiology Information System (RIS)
8. Maintain an orderly and clean work area, including equipment, promoting good safety habits for patients
and team members
9. Maintain accreditation requirements
10. Perform quality control tasks as assigned
(5%) Department Support
1. Participate in team meetings with team member involvement
2. Assist in updating & maintaining all radiographic & C-arm protocols
3. Answer department phone calls
(5%) Performs other duties as assigned
Required:
  1. High School diploma, or equivalent
  2. ARRT registered technologist; must be current and in good standing
  3. Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  4. Licensed Radiological Technologist, if required by the state(s) you work in (as applicable)
  5. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; must be current and maintained
  6. Documented training and applicable experience at a level to competently and independently perform C-arm procedures under the supervision of a provider
