Balkan Beverage is a family-owned distributor operated by the Vukelic family, sharing services with Try-It Distributing and Saratoga Eagle Sales & Service—leading premium beverage distributors in New York State. Position Summary:
As a field-based, frontline salesperson, the Route Sales Representative is the primary point of contact for their assigned accounts.  They are the customer-facing, human face of the company for their customers as they seek to provide excellent service and solutions to grow high performing beverage programs.  The Sales Representative works daily to grow revenue, distribution, and total brand health in their markets in a way that is profitable and efficient. Successful reps are highly organized, accountable, competitive to a fault, and prolific communicators who love the variety of days spent at retail.  

Essential Functions (must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation):  
•    Achievement of monthly, quarterly and annual revenue objectives
•    Execution of Sales Routine Management activities and survey collection
•    Utilizes technology (i.e., VIP, IDig, Karma) to complete impact and reporting at account level.
•    Works closely with customers and operations to provide smart, efficient delivery service.
•    Call on accounts according to assigned schedule.
•    Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to keep all accounts in good financial standing.
•    Adheres to all sales standards, for example: P.O.S., rotation, dress code etc.
•    Complete required trainings (i.e., sales selling skills, software, etc.)
•    Communicates competition activity/pricing information to their supervisor.
•    Attends all required sales functions (meetings, promotions etc.).
•    Develops and maintains relationships with decision makers at all accounts.
•    Engages in daily professional communications (i.e., voicemail and e-mail).
•    Investigates and resolves customer problems with sales and deliveries.
•    Develops retailer presentations.
 

Qualifications:
•    Educations and/or Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related work or educational experience preferred.
•    Communication Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
•    Interpersonal Skills: Developing and growing relationships.
•    Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 
•    Computer Skills:  Excellent PC/Laptop/iPad skills required. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience navigating database software; order processing systems; spreadsheet software.  Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills. 
•    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Ability to attain and maintain a NYS Solicitor’s permit is required. Valid driver’s license in good standing. 

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift 50 lbs. and/or move up to 250 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision.
