Job description

Summary of Position:
Food and Beverage Supervisor will assist management with four points of emphasis: (1) Train, coach, and support associates while leading the team toward meeting and exceeding guest service standards, product knowledge, operational expectations, and outlet performance goals. (2) Assume a supervisory and Manager-on-Duty role by overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring service standards, steps of service, and resort policies are consistently upheld. (3) Provide operational leadership and coverage across multiple Food & Beverage outlets including Lobby Grill & Bar, Marketplace Cafรฉ, and other assigned outlets as business needs dictate (may be asked to fulfill positions across different outlets). (4) Support management by assisting with associate development, guest relations, service recovery, onboarding, training, and daily operational execution.
Essential Functions:
  • Train new hires and provide performance feedback to management to help determine skill level
  • Assist with onboarding and training programs for new associates.
  • Coach new and existing staff in daily operations by helping to lead the team towards meeting and exceeding standards in guest service, lead the team to uphold the restaurant appearance, help enforce policies and procedures, aid in leading the team to execute daily tasks and ensure successful completion, help the team with time management and be a support when management is not available to assist the line staff.
  • Supervise execution of opening duties, closing duties, side work, and cleaning responsibilities.
  • Ensure service standards, steps of service, and outlet appearance standards are consistently maintained.
  • Perform opening and closing managerial duties and lead daily front-of-house operations during assigned shifts.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assisting with daily operations of Lobby Grill & Bar, Marketplace Cafรฉ, and other Food & Beverage outlets as needed. Cross-train across multiple Food & Beverage outlets to provide operational flexibility and coverage.
  • Provide floor leadership and operational support during peak periods, staffing shortages, and call-offs.
  • Work collaboratively with Food & Beverage leadership, department heads.
  • Work respectfully with Chef de Cuisine and the back of the house.
  • Maintain optimal dress code standards at all times.
  • Enforce and reinforce resort policies at all times.
  • Assist management with associate evaluations, coaching documentation, and recognition initiatives as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Food & Beverage Management, Resort Leadership, and/or the General Manager.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Previous food and beverage supervisory experience required.
Certificates or Licenses: Maricopa County Food Service Worker Card and Arizona Title IV Alcohol Certification required. First Aid Training and CPR certification preferred.
