Position Summary

The Real Estate Investment Analyst supports the Investments Team and the Investment Committee, enabling informed decisions regarding commercial real estate acquisition opportunities. The Investment Analyst prepares financial underwriting models that allow Management to make optimal decisions regarding both balance sheet and joint venture opportunities.

Backed by a proven track record, including ~$400 million in acquisitions completed in 2025, and guided by a strategic plan targeting $400-$500 million in annual acquisitions in 2026, we are at the forefront of disciplined, highimpact real estate investing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Underwrite acquisition opportunities through Argus and Excel modeling, manage deal pipeline activity, coordinate with third parties on key assumptions to prepare weekly investment committee materials.

  • Identify and communicate key insights related to financially significant modeling assumptions, highlighting risks and proposing opportunities.

  • Partner with Transactions Associates in their performance of due diligence on prospective acquisitions.

  • Manage underwriting workflow of each project from the initial underwriting through letter of intent, contract stage, due diligence, closing and transfer of final model assumptions to the ERP system (MRI).

  • Work closely with Acquisition Officers, the Research team, and the Portfolio Management team throughout the acquisition process.

  • Analyze and present deals to internal stakeholders.

  • Support Acquisitions, Investments, Portfolio Management, and Investment Management with ad hoc financial analysis as requested.

Education / Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Real Estate preferred. Advanced degree a plus.

  • 0-3 years of experience in commercial real estate valuation and analysis required.

  • MS Office experience including high proficiency with Excel. Experience modeling within Argus Enterprise and familiarity with Dealpath is a plus.

  • This position will have exposure to leaders in the organization so strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Ability to lead complex underwriting projects effectively while managing a variety of ad hoc tasks.
