Job description

Company Description

The Winnetka Park District is one of five units of local government in Winnetka. Our properties cover nearly five square miles and include 26 parks, five beaches, a boat launch, two golf courses, a tennis center, an ice arena, platform tennis courts, and athletic fields. We provide a full range of year-round recreation programs, including athletics, fitness programs, education programs, camps, and special events.

Job Description

Pay: $30 - $45

Qualifications: Competitive playing experience of at least 4.0 rating and previous coaching experience of at least one (1) year. Must have a thorough knowledge of tennis club operations. Prefer certification from recognized tennis association (e.g., USPTA, PTR). Individuals must have a passion for the game, enthusiasm for working with adults, young players and energy on the court.

Duties: The Tennis Professional will teach tennis skills and techniques to players of all ages and skill levels. This includes providing group and private lessons, monitoring progress and ensuring safety on the court. The Tennis Professional will foster a positive learning environment and encourage skill development/ Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Hours: This position will work anywhere from 10-25 hours per week, including evenings and weekends and depending on employee's availability and qualifications and the needs of the A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center.
