Job description

Description

**This is a general application for Sales Manager openings across Swickard's Portland and Eugene area dealerships. There is no specific position available at this time. Qualified candidates will be contacted as opportunities arise.**

Portland, OR | Eugene, OR | Sales Manager | BMW | Mercedes-Benz | Toyota | Honda | Variable ops | F&I | CRM | Pipeline | Multiple locations | Pacific Northwest | Veterans encouraged to apply | $80,000 - $175,000+

IS THIS YOU?

You're a proven desk manager or Sales Manager with a track record of consistent results -- volume, gross, and CSI -- at a franchised dealership

You lead through process and coaching, not pressure -- your sales consultants are more productive and more confident because of how you develop them

You're open to what's next and want to be in conversation with a growing Pacific Northwest automotive group before a specific opportunity arises

WHO WE ARE

Swickard Auto Group is a hospitality company that happens to sell and service cars. We believe the best guest experiences start with the best employee experiences. That's why we've grown to 40+ rooftops across the West Coast, Alaska, and Hawaii while maintaining a culture built on one simple idea: do right by people, every time.

We operate multiple dealerships across the Portland and Eugene area -- representing brands including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, and Honda. When Sales Manager openings arise at any of our Oregon stores, we want qualified candidates ready to move. If you're an experienced desk manager or Sales Manager in or open to the Portland and Eugene market, we'd like to start the conversation now.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead and develop the sales team daily -- coaching consultants, running structured desking sessions, and driving consistent production

Desk deals with precision, urgency, and integrity -- structuring transactions that work for the guest and the business

Manage floor coverage and the guest experience from first contact through delivery

Monitor individual and team performance against key metrics -- units, gross per vehicle, closing ratio, lead response time, and CRM compliance

Partner with finance to ensure clean deal handoffs and a seamless guest experience

Support inventory management in coordination with the GSM -- monitoring turn, aging, and lot activity

Assist in recruiting and onboarding new sales consultants

Resolve escalated guest concerns with composure and professionalism

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

2+ years of Sales Manager or senior desk manager experience at a franchised dealership -- required

Luxury, import, or domestic brand experience welcome -- BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Honda, or similar backgrounds all valued across our Oregon portfolio

Demonstrates a high HQ (Hospitality Quotient) -- kindness and optimism, intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity

Confident at the desk -- able to structure deals quickly, accurately, and with the guest relationship intact

Strong CRM discipline and the ability to build a culture of follow-up and process accountability on the floor

Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK experience preferred

Professional, polished communicator who earns the trust of the team and the respect of the guest

A hospitality mindset -- you lead the floor the way Swickard leads its stores: guest-first, every time

WHAT WE OFFER

Income potential of $80,000 - $175,000+ -- specific to each store and opening

Medical, dental, and vision insurance

Life insurance and supplemental coverage options

Paid time off and paid holidays

Career growth -- strong Sales Managers at Swickard grow into GSM and GM roles across a 40+ rooftop organization

Employee vehicle purchase and service discounts

The backing of a growing, hospitality-led automotive group with a strong Pacific Northwest presence

WHY SWICKARD AUTO GROUP -- PORTLAND & EUGENE

A portfolio of dealerships across the Portland and Eugene area -- multiple brands and locations mean real career mobility and a clear path to GSM and GM roles

Portland and Eugene reward sales leaders who operate with authenticity, process discipline, and genuine hospitality -- reputation compounds quickly in these markets

Swickard is one of the fastest-growing dealer groups in the country -- ranked Top 5 in North America for reputation in the automotive industry

A hospitality-first culture where the sales manager is expected to lead by example -- doing right by the guest and doing right by the team aren't in conflict here

Our HEART values -- Honor, Engage, Anticipate, Respond, Thank -- define how we lead, how we hire, and how we serve

Leadership that sets clear standards, gives its managers room to operate, and backs them with the tools and support to succeed

This isn't a posting for a role that's open today -- it's an invitation to connect. Swickard operates multiple dealerships across the Portland and Eugene area and we proactively build relationships with Sales Manager-caliber leaders so that when an opening arises, we're ready to move. If you're open to a conversation about what's possible in the Pacific Northwest with Swickard -- we'd like to hear from you.
