Job description

Come join our team! As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing  the overall day-to day operations of the facility. This includes daily school routes, trips, charters, driver training, and recruitment programs. Our ideal candidate has experience in a leadership role within the transportation industry. Job Type: Full Time - Onsite, Monday-Friday

Location: Milton, FL

Salary Range: Based on experience

Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the GM, assist with the overall day-to-day operations of the facility
  • Ensure coverage of daily transit fixed routes, trips, and charters
  • On-going customer development with Santa Rosa School District 
  • Assist with driver training and recruitment programs
  • Ensure all drivers are equipped with all necessary job-related training in designee area
  • Assist in preparing payroll, account receivables, accounts payables, and month end requirements
  • Coordinate with HR when conducting disciplinary actions of employees
  • Participate in planning annual financial requirements for the facility
  • Responsible for carrying out all STA policies and State and Federal applicable regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, equivalent certification or Associate’s Degree from an accredited university or college in business is preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in school bus or transportation related operations
  • 1+ years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Valid CDL license with passenger and school bus endorsement is a plus
  • If not CDL licensed will need to obtain 
  • Experience in MS Office Suite
  • Knowledgeable in School District contracts and Federal and State regulations
  • Pass pre-employment screenings
