Job description

JOB TITLE: Lot Person FLSA: Non -Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Convenience-Store

REPORTS TO: Convenience Store Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Part-Time / Full Time

Is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the property focusing on the outside areas of the location.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General clean-up of entire outside lot to include car wash area.
  • Disposal and monitoring of all trash cans, barrels and dumpsters.
  • Periodically walk the lot picking up trash and debris as needed.
  • Shovel snow/ice from walkways and fuel islands as needed and sprinkle salt down to keep people from falling.
  • Clean fuel dispensers
  • Washes windows
  • Scrub carwash walls and floors
  • Maintain windshield solvent near fuel dispenser holders.
  • Clean up around fuel islands using sta-dri to soak up spills and eliminate stains.
  • Use a power washer to clean the lot.
  • Help transfer and stock heavy items in the store such as antifreeze, windshield solvent and cases of soda.
  • Performs other tasks & duties as assigned or required.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to push and pull 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule to include weekend work and overtime.
  • Occasional climbing stairs, climbing ladders, reaching overhead and balancing.
  • Frequent , standing, walking, reaching forward, stooping, kneeling, crouching, fingering, feeling, hand grasping, and operating controls.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to work in all types of climates and conditions indoors and outdoors to include heat, cold, rain, snow and ice. Must be able to withstand exposure to dust, fumes and high noise volumes. May be exposed to some hazardous materials.
