Engineer I - EE Systems Integration & Validation

The Engineer I - EE Systems Integration & Validation will be responsible for integration, troubleshooting, analyzing, testing electrical components, systems, vehicle electrical systems and maintaining test and diagnostics software. Support vehicle production at Karma manufacturer.

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

  • Perform Electrical and Powertrain component integration and validation.
  • Support all engineering platforms to develop, validate, and test vehicle electrical systems.
  • Work with engineers and technicians to design and build prototypes.
  • Support vehicle production at Karma manufacturer especially with building test bench software for production
  • Test electrical components / systems using HIL applications.
  • Validate / implement UDS service routines, DTCs, ensuring diagnostic coverage of vehicle functionality, and developing test cases.
  • Maintain existing software pipelines that vary from diagnostics to lab test cases.
  • Assist in writing system requirements and procedures.
  • Perform troubleshooting on vehicle electrical systems and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop the laboratory procedures and perform electrical, EMC and environmental testing.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent degree) in Electrical / Computer/ Automotive Systems Engineering
  • 0-3+ years of electrical experience
  • Experience with basic electrical engineering disciplines such as circuit diagrams, schematics, etc.
  • Experience with microprocessors, ECU, electrical / electronic hardware, embedded software, Raspberry Pi, Arduino.
  • Programming skills with an object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB, Simulink) and experience generating maintainable code for applications that interface with test equipment.
  • Experience with systems engineering principles, hardware, and software design concepts.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Prefer to have the following experiences:
    • Automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN/LIN/FlexRay)
    • Experience with automotive vehicle mechanical and electrical system architectures (e.g., distributed control systems)
    • Experience with Hardware In-Loop (HIL) systems
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Compensation:

$75,000 - $85,000 /annual salary. Compensation will vary DOE.
