Senior Hardware Designer - Onsite Position


Are you an innovative and flexible self-starter? Do you have keen hardware engineering skills? We’re looking for highly motivated hardware designers who live and breathe embedded hardware design to help us create the latest in embedded systems technology. We need enthusiastic team players who want to share, discuss, and brainstorm ideas with our top-notch engineering team at our dynamic organization.


As part of a dynamic multi-disciplined team, your job will be to support the development of new embedded systems products, and to enhance our existing products. You will be responsible for all aspects of hardware development; you must be resourceful and able to overcome new challenges using insightful design and engineering skills coupled with innovative approaches. In a nutshell, we need your sharp expertise to help define new embedded hardware products, implement product enhancements and contribute to process improvements.

Salary Range: $90,300 - $120,400 plus bonus opportunity

  • Engineer, Design, Develop and Test new embedded hardware at the forefront of technology
  • Support and enhance existing embedded hardware
  • Apply established development processes and assist in process improvement
  • Analyze requirements, research and identify solutions and develop the design
  • Generate complete and accurate user and design documentation
  • Provide input to architecture and design reviews
  • Provide input and evaluation of new technologies and products
  • Keep current with embedded hardware trends and share knowledge
  • Contribute to the release of manufacturing technical data packages for products
  • Participate in maintaining a positive and productive atmosphere within the team

Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical, Computer, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
  • 8+ years Board level development and hands on lab experience (CO-OP Experience is applicable)
  • Experience/familiarity in the following is an asset:
  • Experience working with a multi-disciplined team
  • Familiar with a product development process
  • Familiar with hardware test equipment -- logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Familiarity with principles of high-speed digital circuit board design including signal integrity concepts.
  • Design capture tools (preferably Mentor Graphics)
  • Requirements capture, analysis, and tracking.
  • Hobby projects with Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino
  • Familiarity with FPGAs
  • A passion for following the latest trends in the world of computing
