Job description

Additional requirements and position responsibilities include:

  • Management of land/site development projects, including technical design, quality control, and project management
  • Business development activities and assignments concentrated in a specific target area
  • Project client interface
  • Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) interface
  • Financial management of projects
  • Working with the team to set goals to meet business objectives
  • Complete Civil design drawings using AudoCAD Civil 3D software
  • Travel to job sites
  • Field investigations and documentation under general supervision of Project Manager
  • Construction related services including meeting attendance, shop drawings reviews, responses to RFI, scheduling and coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), scheduling and coordination with job site contractors
  • Arkansas (ADH, ADEQ, ArDOT) design code experience required
  • Northwest Arkansas (Bentonville and Fayetteville) design code experience required

  • PE in Arkansas, or ability to obtain license within 12 months of hire date
  • BS in Civil Engineering (MS a plus)
  • 3+ years of relevant project experience (5-8 years of experience strongly preferred) 
  • Experience managing civil/site development projects
  • Experience leading the civil design efforts for public works or site development projects
  • Sound technical design background
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of local and U.S. design codes and standards
  • Related local experience preferred
