What you’ll do

We are seeking for a curious, skilled and motivated Technology Architect to join our dynamic Customer Engagement and Adoption organization at SAP with the opportunity of a rapid growth in the technical area. As a Technology Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital transformation journey of our customers by supporting the positioning and selling cycle of new SAP technologies. You will also lead the design and implementation of innovative solutions based on SAP technologies.

In particular you will:

  • Collaborate with customers, business stakeholders, and technology teams to understand business objectives, identify opportunities, and define technology strategies aligned with SAP's product portfolio
  • Design end-to-end enterprise solutions that meet business requirements, considering scalability, performance, security, and integration aspects
  • Develop architectural governance, roadmaps, and implementation plans to guide the execution of technology initiatives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to build architecture teams throughout the solution delivery lifecycle
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with architectural standards and best practices, promoting reusability and adherence to SAP's architectural principles.
  • Conduct technology assessments and facilitate decision-making processes to support solution adoption and investment prioritization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex business challenges, resolve technical issues, and ensure successful project delivery
  • Contribute to selling cycles of SAP Technology solutions (e.g., RISE, BTP, AI and Toolchain) while maximizing customer value and adoption
  • Play the Technical Architect role in SAP Implementation Project being capable to deliver activities like definition of scope of work, customer project presentation, design technical aspects of solutions, write Business Blueprint, lead offshore resources, design project GANTT, produce high quality deliverables, identify new business opportunities to enlarge SAP footprint, etc.
  • Play the role of “Expert on Demand” while supporting SAP Partners in their implementations providing best practices and guidelines to ensure a successful SAP solution implementation
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in SAP technology offerings, actively participating in professional development activities (e.g. AI topics)

 

What you bring

 

  • Degree in STEM (or equivalent practical experience)
  • +5 years of customer-facing SAP consulting experience
  • +5 years in solution design, enterprise architecture, and/or SAP implementation (e.g. S/4HANA conversions)
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Technology products (releases, platform interdependencies, etc.)
  • Good understanding of SAP solutions operations (application + technical) in cloud environments
  • Solid understanding of platform stacks (storage, virtualization, hardware, networking)
  • Good knowledge of at least one hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • SAP BTP knowledge and experience

 

 

Soft Skills & Personal Attributes

  • Native or excellent command of Italian
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Highly self‑motivated and well organized, with strong ownership and accountability
  • Strong innovation mindset, with openness to new ideas and approaches
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, particularly in complex, multi‑vendor environments
  • Cultural awareness and proven experience working in multinational contexts
  • Availability and flexibility to travel on short notice

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • SAP certifications (C_TADM70_22, C_TADM_23 or similar, C_ADBTP or similar)
  • Experience with IaaS providers, SAP Premium Suppliers, or data centers
  • Experience in SAP HANA / S/4HANA performance analysis
  • Cybersecurity and compliance expertise
  • Experience with SAP AI implementations (e.g. SAP Joule or similar)
  • SAP Application Lifecycle Management / SAP Operations experience
