Real Estate Investment & Development Analyst Intern Summer Internship | Washington, DC

We are seeking a highly motivated Real Estate Investment & Development Analyst Intern to support our team across acquisitions, asset management, and ground-up development initiatives. This role provides direct exposure to the full lifecycle of real estate investments within a vertically integrated platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Support underwriting and financial analysis for acquisitions, developments, and value-add investments, including building and auditing Excel models (NOI, DSCR, IRR, equity waterfalls)

- Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal investment committee and external partners

- Participate in asset management activities across an existing portfolio, including performance tracking, rent roll analysis, and variance reporting against budget and business plans

- Work closely with development teams on active projects from pre-development through construction, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with architects, contractors, and consultants

- Conduct market research, comp analysis, and leasing and sales strategy support for multifamily and condominium assets

- Assist with capital markets efforts, including debt and equity sourcing materials, lender and investor communication, and due diligence processes

- Support ongoing reporting to investors and lenders, including quarterly updates and additional analyses as needed

Qualifications

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field

- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced Excel proficiency

- Interest in real estate private equity, development, and asset management

- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
