Your main responsibilities include translating conceptual sketches and specifications into detailed technical drawings, incorporating feedback from team members, and revising plans based on regulatory standards or structural requirements. This collaborative environment helps maintain accuracy and streamlines the workflow from initial design to final construction documents.

What degree do you need to be an architectural drafter?

To become an architectural drafter, a high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, along with postsecondary training such as an associate degree in drafting, architecture, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software and knowledge of building codes are also important for the role.
