Job description

We are seeking an experienced High-End Residential Superintendent to oversee the construction of luxury custom homes from groundbreaking through final completion. This individual will be responsible for managing daily field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring exceptional craftsmanship throughout every phase of construction.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience building multi-million-dollar custom homes and understands the level of quality, communication, and attention to detail required when working with luxury homeowners, architects, and designers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all day-to-day field operations on luxury custom home projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Build and maintain project schedules to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Read and interpret architectural plans, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Maintain the highest standards of workmanship, quality control, and job site safety.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with local building codes.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, designers, homeowners, and ownership.
  • Track project progress and provide regular updates to the project team.
  • Manage punch lists and oversee project closeout to ensure a flawless finished product.
  • Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and to client expectations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent building high-end residential or luxury custom homes.
  • Proven experience managing ground-up custom home construction.
  • Experience overseeing high-end remodels and additions is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors while maintaining quality and schedule.
  • Experience reading blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Proficient with construction management software such as Procore (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on homes valued at $5M+.
  • Familiarity with luxury finishes including custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, steel, glass, and specialty materials.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Experience working directly with discerning homeowners, architects, and interior designers.
